Fees
A doctor's referral is not necessary to see a Psychologist. However, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if your GP, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist has given you a referral recommending psychological intervention. The initial referral will cover you for six appointments but you can return to your doctor and be reviewed for up to four more per calendar year. The GP may also detail your symptoms, diagnoses, and recommended interventions in a Medical Health Care Plan (MHCP). For further information click here.
If you have Private Health insurance that covers Psychology, you may also be eligible for rebates. Please contact your Private Health insurer to check your specific entitlements.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60 minute consultation fee at $311. We understand the financial limitations this recommended rate poses so have decided to mitigate fees to assist families in accessing our service.
