Fees

A doctor's referral is not necessary to see a Psychologist. However, GPs, Paediatricians, and Psychiatrists can provide you with a referral called a Medical Health Care Plan (MHCP). If you have a valid MHCP, you may be eligible for a rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The initial referral will cover you for six appointments but you can return to your doctor and discuss requesting four more. For further information click here.

If you have Private Health insurance that covers Psychology, you may also be eligible for rebates. Please contact your Private Health insurer to check your specific entitlements.

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60 minute consultation fee at $311. We understand the financial limitations this recommended rate poses so have decided to mitigate fees to assist families in accessing our service.
